Automated storage and visual inspection of crystal plates (20 ° C)

Name: Automated storage and visual inspection of crystal plates (20 ° C)
Technology / Methodology: Biomolecular crystalization
Location: CEITEC Masaryk University
Instrument description: Automated high throughput protein crystal drop imaging system provides ultraviolet and visible crystal imaging and protein crystal monitoring that automatically image crystallization experiments and link images with crystallization conditions. Automated system contains fully integrated system for temperature controlled incubation, inspection, and analysis of protein crystallization plates. The Minstrel HT UV allows for the rapid and easy detection of protein crystals in heavily precipitated drops where traditional visible imaging systems fall short. High-resolution imaging system can visualize hanging drop, sitting drop, LCP, microbatch, and free interface diffusion experiments across most commercially available plate types with capacity for up to 690 low-profile SBS plates or up to 518 standard SBS plates (screening plates) or up to 402 Linbro® plates (optimization plates). Best drop illumination with patented programmable LED light source for visible imaging. Temperature control: 4° - 30°C (± 0.05°C) Standard temperature set-up: 20°C The capacity of the crystallo hotel is limited therefore is necessary to contact an administrator about reservation of this instrument.
