On Thursday, November 2, 2017, the second Day of National Research Infrastructures was held in CEITEC MU. A conference dedicated to unique facilities with a high knowledge and technological capacity operating on the principle of open access brought to Brno more than 100 participants.
Research infrastructures enable their users to achieve breakthrough knowledge and the development of advanced technologies with high potential for use in innovative, innovative and high added value products. Today, nearly sixty research infrastructures in six sectors operate in the Czech Republic, and they have a significant role to play in the strategic direction of Czech research, and to a large extent determine which research areas will be invested in the Czech Republic. between research infrastructures, of course, all 11 CEITEC shared laboratories.
The main themes of the conference concerned the funding and evaluation of research infrastructures, their lifecycle and long-term sustainability as well as the openness of science, the sharing of large data and research capacities. Representatives of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Spors took part outside the members and representatives of the research infrastructures, accompanied by Markus Dettenhoffer, executive director of consortium CEITEC.
