The aim of the meeting with the Indian ambassador, which took place with the participation of the CEITEC Director Tomáš Hruda, Marketing Manager Jakub Ondroušek and scientist Radka Svobodová-Vařeková, was the introduction of the CEITEC project, its goals, strategies and research areas. In the agenda of the discussion there were also the possibilities of the cooperation between Czech and Indian scientists and study visit exchanges. In the afternoon the Deputy Director of JIC David Uhlíř introduced the South Moravian Innovation Centre (JIC) and the Regional innovation strategy of the South Moravian region.
„In CEITEC I can see the future for Czech science. The variety and mutual interconnection of individual research programmes as well as the international management of the institute will ensure competitiveness in the field of international science. Indian scientific institutes will surely be interested in starting cooperation with local scientists“said Srivostavov. The fact that in India now there is an interest in Brno, is shown by the number of Indian students in the National Centre for Biomolecular Research (NCBR), which is a part of Masaryk University, the Indians represent 10% of all the students.
