Synthetic and modified versions of nucleic acids and nucleotides provide new molecules to be exploited in scientific research and medicine. Starting from descriptions of the range of modified and synthetic molecules that are available, this workshop will go on to evaluate how they can be used as new tools for research and in potential therapeutic applications. Workshop attendees will have opportunities to describe their own research via oral presentations.
