Exchange of Experience and Transfer of Best Practices in Operation of Centres of Scientific Excellence between ETH Zurich and CEITEC.
The main goal of the project is to establish a closer co-operation between Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETH Zurich) and the Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC). The project implementation will result in transfer of experience and best practices in the fields of both research and non-research activities of scientific excellence centres.
The project is divided into three parts:
- Study stay in Zurich 1 (14 – 16 May 2012)
CEITEC representatives working in the areas of Grant Office Operation; Transfer of Technologies; Public Relations; Financial Management; and Operation of Shared Laboratories will be the participants of this stay, with the aim to obtain new expertise and skills from their Swiss counterparts for their future work.
- Study stay to Zurich 2 (11 – 12 July 2012)
Scientists representing all CEITEC research programmes will be the participants of this stay with the aim to establish new or extend the existing co-operation links between CEITEC and ETH Zurich. The visit will also be attended by CEITEC representatives working in the areas of HR Development, Research Activities Evaluation, and Public Procurement, with the aim to obtain new expertise and skills from their Swiss counterparts for their future work.
- Study stay in Brno (September/October 2012)
Following the first two activities, the representatives of ETH Zurich will make a study visit to Brno. This trip will be attended by both non-scientific employees working in the most problematic areas and scientists wishing to co-operate with CEITEC based on their prior contacts. A workshop will be held for the scientists where ETH Zurich representatives will have an opportunity to get acquainted with the representatives of various research groups within CEITEC.
