The LEIS workshop traditionally provides an informal and effective platform for discussing challenges and problems of surface science utilizing an extraordinary sensitivity of LEIS. This year the meeting program is extended to two days. We hope the meeting will be also useful to young scientists and students interested in surface science and thin films.
The LEIS workshop 2017 is jointly organized by the surface science groups of Brno University of Technology (BUT) and Johannes Kepler University Linz. It will be held at CEITEC Nano Research Infrastructure in Brno. Invited speakers will present topics closely related to the LEIS and surface analysis.
Invited talks
- Prof. Ulrike Diebold (TU Wien), Using Ion Spectroscopies for Unraveling Atomic-Scale Processes Relevant for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells.
- Assoc. Prof. Daniel Primetzhofer (Uppsala University), Electronic interactions of medium-energy ions with solids: recent results and their implications for high-resolution depth profiling.
We encourage the participants to present oral and poster contributions on application and development of the LEIS technique. A separate section will be dedicated to the progress in the Ta oxide round robin experiment organized by Barbara Bruckner and Peter Bauer from JKU Linz.
Program committee of the workshop
Sarah Fearn (Imperial College London), Hidde Brongersma (Eindhoven University), Peter Bauer (Johanes Kepler University Linz) and Stanislav Prusa (Brno University of Technology).
