Research Group: Behavioural and Social Neuroscience - Milan Brázdil

Bio: I´ve obtained my master´s degree in Biochemistry (Genomics and Proteomics) at the Faculty of Science at Masaryk University, Brno. After finishing my undergraduate studies, I started as PhD student of Neuroscience at Medical Faculty MU.
Research Interests: I have always been fascinated by the way, brains work. As a researcher with passion for biology and chemistry I am studying the processes ongoing in the brain mostly on molecular.  My research is based on the application of various techniques of molecular biology, cell cultivation and experiments on animal models. Under the supervision of prof. MUDr. Milan Brázdil, Ph.D I´m carrying out a research project focused on molecular mysteries behind the epilepsy, particularly aiming for the miRNA. The implementation of this project is based on cooperation with CEITEC Medical Genomics, Institute of Physiology, The Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague and St. Anne's University Hospital in Brno. I am also involved in other projects addressing different neurological impairments e.g. vulnerability to depression etc.
