About CEITEC MU

The Central European Institute of Technology was founded as an independent University Institute at Masaryk University in March 2009 for the purpose of the CEITEC project implementation. The Institute performs research and development activities, manages the property built or bought within the project, supervises public tenders, approves plans of scientific activities, provides marketing and project support to scientists, manages institutional relations and controls all organizational processes. The Institute is situated at the University Campus in Brno-Bohunice.


Jiří Nantl is the Director of the University Institute.

Karel Říha, PhD is the Deputy Director for Science.
