Every two years, the Young Scientist Award is awarded to scientists under the age of 40 who have made significant contributions to ceramics research. The condition for inclusion in the competition is, among other things, membership in a national ceramic organization that has been affiliated with the European Ceramic Society for at least two years.

Prof. Šárka Pospíšilová Prof. Jaroslav Koča weres awarded with South Moravian Region Award. Prof. Pospíšilová was awarded for her contribution in the field of science and Prof. Koča for work, activity or conduct that significantly represents the South Moravian Region. The awarding ceremony will be held in historical hall at castle Slavkov–Austerlitz at November 12, 2016.
For her excellent results during her doctoral programme in the field of oncology, Karla Plevová from CEITEC MU received the Award of the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports for excellent students and graduates in study programmes. The award ceremony took place on 18 November 2014 in the hall of the National Museum of Education of J. A. Komenský.
