The last twenty years have seen a tremendous growth of innovative forms of communication and engagement with science, including popular science publishing and broadcasting, science centres, scientific cafes, citizens' juries and sci-art. This short course will highlight examples of best practice, discuss practicalities of developing a public engagement activity, and explore how impact can be evaluated. The course will also review how to communicate with different audiences, including policymakers.
Note that this course is not about academic writing or conference presentation.
