Today from the north-Italian region 8 experts on science and transfer of technology have arrived in Brno. Apart from a visit of new laboratories on the Bohunice campus they met representatives of companies which are already partners of the CEITEC project. The negotiation about further possibilities of cooperation with CEITEC, organized by Jihomoravské inovační centrum, the coordinator of the SynBIOsis project of the 7th frame programme, followed. The project will help to set the transfer of technology in the south-Moravian region.
The Project Director of CEITEC visited the north-Italian laboratories within the past few weeks as a part of the SynBIOsis project, which Masaryk University is a partner of. The Italians had the possibility to use finance from the structural funds much earlier and can provide valuable experience within the realization of the project. An important aspect of the cooperation is their high-quality elaborated system of using the results of research and development in practice. “Co-operation with the commercial sector is crucial for CEITEC, so we want to organize a working system from the beginning. The experience from abroad is essential to us.” Tomáš Hruda, the Project Director, explains the reason for co-operation.
The cooperation with foreign associates is important to CEITEC for several reasons: “We are interested in learning from the more experienced, but we also offer our instrumentation for use, and we will solve international projects together.” says Tomáš Hruda. “CEITEC will represent the world science in Brno, which will also bring international companies here.” adds Hruda.
