Up to 700 scientists from around the world will be invited to the ICN + T conference in Brno in July 2018. The international forum will provide a platform for discussing the latest trends or discoveries in the area of nanosciences and nanotechnologies. The main part of the conference program will take place at the Brno Exhibition Center.
After Korea's Busan, Vail, Colorado or Paris, Brno will become the venue for the ICN+T conference, thanks to the successful joint request of CEITEC and the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (FÚ AV ČR), which scientific consortium provided in 2013. Topics to be contributed by scientists from different parts of the world include, for example, microscopy, spectroscopy or nanophotonics or nanomagnetism.
Brno has won this prestigious conference not only thanks to the growing recognition of Czech scientists in this field, its strategic position or emerging centres, science, business or education, but also thanks to the links to electron microscopy that has been associated with the city for a long time.
The main conference organizer, along with Dr Antonín Fejfar from the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Professor Tomáš Šikola, coordinator of the research program of Advanced Nanotechnology and Microtechnology at CEITEC and Director of the Institute of Physical Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, BUT.
